Strizzi (vom tschechischen strýc ‚Onkel‘) ist ein Ausdruck aus dem Wienerischen und steht unter anderem als eine Kosebezeichnung für Knabe, mit der Konnotation Lausbub, Spitzbub.
Tango ist eine Musikrichtung und entstand als eine Melange vieler Musikformen zwischen 1850 und 1900: Aus der Konfrontation europäischer Musikstile (italienische Musik, polnische Polka etc.) mit lateinamerikanischer Musik (Milonga, Habanera) und afrikanischer Rhythmik (Candombe).
Der Strizzi Tango entstand auf Wunsch der Kinder der Mini Band Sieghartskirchen 2012. Sie selbst haben sich immer als richtige Strizzies (Lausbuben) bezeichnet. „Schreib uns ein Stück das Strizzi heißt“, war der Wunsch der Kinder.

Tango is a musical genre that emerged as a blend of many musical styles between 1850 and 1900. It arose from the interplay of European music styles (Italian music, Polish polka, etc.) with Latin American music (Milonga, Habanera) and African rhythms (Candombe).
The Strizzi Tango was created in 2012 at the request of the children in the Mini Band of Sieghartskirchen. They always referred to themselves as real Strizzies (rascals). „Write us a piece called Strizzi,“ was the children’s request.
