Stephan Kostner, geboren 1992, ist in Hatting wohnhaft.
Er erhielt seinen Trompetenunterricht zunächst bei Raimund Walder und Manfred Lugger an der Landesmusikschule Zirl sowie anschließend bei Erich Rinner am Tiroler Landeskonservatorium. Nach dem Präsenzdienst bei der Militärmusik Tirol absolvierte er das Lehramtsstudium für Volksschule an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Tirol. Darüber hinaus besuchte er den Lehrgang „Jazz und improvisierte Musik“ am Tiroler Landeskonservatorium im Fach Trompete bei Martin Ohrwalder.
Als musikalischer Leiter der Blaskapelle Gehörsturz ist er auch im Bereich Arrangement und Komposition tätig. Konzertauftritte führten ihn unter anderem zur Bigband Sawidubap, zum Sinfonischen Blasorchester Tirol, zur Brassband Fröschl Hall, zur Brassband Tirol, zum Ensemble Windkraft, zur Internationalen Jungen Orchesterakademie Bayreuth sowie zu verschiedenen Formationen in seiner Heimatgemeinde, darunter die Musikkapelle Hatting, die Hattinger Tanzmusik, die Hattinger Weisenbläser und die Blechbeißer.

Stephan Kostner, born in 1992, lives in Hatting.
He initially received trumpet lessons from Raimund Walder and Manfred Lugger at the Regional Music School in Zirl, and later from Erich Rinner at the Tyrolean State Conservatory.
After completing his compulsory military service with the Military Band of Tyrol, he pursued a teacher-training degree for primary school at the Tyrolean University of Teacher Education.
In addition, he attended the course “Jazz and Improvised Music” at the Tyrolean State Conservatory, majoring in trumpet under Martin Ohrwalder.
As the musical director of the brass band Gehörsturz, he is also active in the fields of arranging and composing.
Concert performances have taken him, among others, to the Big Band Sawidubap, the Symphonic Wind Orchestra of Tyrol, the Brass Band Fröschl Hall, the Brass Band Tirol, the Windkraft ensemble, the International Young Orchestra Academy in Bayreuth, as well as to various ensembles in his home community — including the Musikkapelle Hatting, the Hattinger Tanzmusik, the Hattinger Weisenbläser, and the Blechbeißer.
