Christian Dumphart (*1992) erhielt seinen ersten Unterricht auf dem Tenorhorn und der Posaune an der Musikschule der Stadt Linz bei Irene Doss und an der LMS Gallneukirchen bei seinem Vater Martin Dumphart.
Während seiner Zeit im Musikgymnasium Linz absolvierte er sein Vorbereitungsstudium an der ABPU Linz bei Prof. Fritz Loimayr und
Prof. Johann Reiter im Fach Posaune.
Nach der Matura und dem Präsenzdienst bei der Militärmusik OÖ studierte er KBA und PBA Posaune mit Schwerpunkt Tenorhorn bei Prof. Reiter an der ABPU Linz, welche er 2017 abschloss. 2019 schloss er noch die beiden Masterstudien KMA und PMA Posaune (bei Prof. Reiter) mit Schwerpunkt Blasorchesterleitung bei Prof. Johann Mösenbichler ab.
Christian Dumphart ist seit 2005 Mitglied der TMK Bad Leonfelden und leitet diese seit 2021 gemeinsam mit seinem Vater.
Außerdem ist er Jugendreferent (seit 2010) und Kapellmeister (seit 2012) der Jugendkapelle Bad Leonfelden, mit der er bei nationalen (Bundessieger 2015, 2019, 2021) und internationalen Wettbewerben ( 2. Platz beim Fliccorno d`Oro 2016) sehr erfolgreich ist.
Derzeit unterrichtet er an der LMS Freistadt und LMS Grünburg.

Christian Dumphart (born 1992) received his first lessons on tenor horn and trombone at the Linz Municipal Music School with Irene Doss and at the Gallneukirchen State Music School with his father, Martin Dumphart.
While attending the Linz music-focused secondary school (Musikgymnasium), he completed a preparatory course at the Anton Bruckner Private University (ABPU) Linz with Prof. Fritz Loimayr and Prof. Johann Reiter in trombone.
After graduating from high school and completing his compulsory military service with the Upper Austrian Military Band, he studied trombone (bachelor’s degrees in artistic and pedagogical performance, both with a focus on tenor horn) with Prof. Reiter at ABPU Linz, finishing in 2017. In 2019 he earned two master’s degrees—Master of Arts in Artistic Performance (KMA) and in Pedagogical Performance (PMA) trombone, with a specialization in wind orchestra conducting under Prof. Johann Mösenbichler.
Christian Dumphart has been a member of the Traditional Music Band (TMK) Bad Leonfelden since 2005 and has co-led it with his father since 2021.
He has also served as youth coordinator (since 2010) and conductor (since 2012) of the Bad Leonfelden Youth Band, achieving notable success at national competitions (national champion in 2015, 2019, and 2021) and international contests (2nd place at Fliccorno d’Oro in 2016).
He currently teaches at the Freistadt and Grünburg State Music Schools.
