CHRISTOPH WUNDRAK
Wundrak verbrachte seine Kindheit und Jugend in der Stadt Salzburg, wo er Musikunterricht auf der Blockflöte und Gitarre sowie Trompete erhielt und es zu ersten Auftritten kam.
Zwischen 1975 und 1982 während seines klassischen Trompetenstudiums am Mozarteum (und eines begonnenen Biologiestudiums) betätigte er sich als Amateurmusiker. Von 1982 bis 1990 studierte er Jazz an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz. 1990 entstand Wundraks Trio Smart Metal Hornets, das über lange Zeit mit den Saxophonisten Klemens Pliem und Joe Harpf tätig war und bisher fünf Alben vorlegte.
Im selben Jahr war er Gründungsmitglied der Dialektbluesband Charlie & Die Kaischlabuam, in der er bis heute tätig ist.
Seit 2009 kam es weiterhin zur Zusammenarbeit mit dem steirischen Trompeter und Komponisten Alfred Lang (LaWuZwio, GLOW, Blechstromtrio), mit Dieter Glawischnig, mit Stefan Redtenbacher und mit dem Literaten Reinhard P. Gruber.
Seit 2012 gehörte er zum Styrian Improvisers Orchestra. Mit Werner Puntigam, Emil Gross und Ayako Kanda tritt er im Improvisationsensemble Blastik auf.
Theatermusiken schrieb Wundrak für das Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck und das Pickup-Theater Graz
Er komponierte auch für Sinfonieorchester. Seit 2003 unterrichtet er bei den Grazer Musikkursen Innovativ Vokal Instrumental.
STEFAN REDTENBACHER
Der gebürtige Salzburger und seit fast 30 Jahren in Großbritannien lebende Stefan Redtenbacher ist professioneller Bassist, Musikproduzent, Unternehmer, Bandleader, Musikpädagoge, Komponist und Arrangeur.
Seit 1996 leitet er seine eigene Band, das Redtenbacher’s Funkestra. Derzeit leitet er die Masterlink Sessions, bei denen mit einer Vielzahl von Künstlern 100% Live-im-Studio erstellte Musikvideos kreiert werden. Für Ihr Schaffen hat Stefan Redtenbacher vor Kurzem den YouTube Creator Award für über 120,000 Abonnenten erhalten.
Sein Funkestra hat über 20 Studioalben bei verschiedenen Plattenlabels veröffentlicht, 13 Millionen Spotify streams angesammelt und mit Größen aus der Jazz- und Funkwelt und vielen der besten Musiker der Londoner Jazz- und Funkszene gespielt und aufgenommen.
Als Bassist und Sideman ist Stefan Redtenbacher mit Künstlern wie Sam Moore (Sam & Dave), Jack Bruce (Cream), Steve Winwood, Lulu, Amy Winehouse, Kiki Dee, Beverly Knight, Joss Stone, Sam Brown, Herb Alpert, Imelda May, Natalie Imbruglia, Paul Carrack, Mica Paris, Gerry Beckley (America) und vielen Anderen aufgetreten.
Stefan ist Absolvent des Wiener Konservatoriums, des Berklee College of Music, des Institute of Education (UCL) und der Chichester University.
Als Pädagoge hat er für die Northern Royal Academy of Music, das Eton College, die Academy of Contemporary Music, das Detroit Institute of Music, das London College of Creative Media, das Institute for Contemporary Music Performance, die Chichester University, das Access Creative College, die Anton Bruckner University, Vienna Music Institute, etc. gearbeitet. Er hat zahlreiche Artikel für das Bassguitar Magazine und das iBass Magazine geschrieben und Kernlehrpläne für viele der oben genannten Colleges verfasst.

CHRISTOPH WUNDRAK is a Styrian brass player, composer, arranger and instrumental teacher.
As an instrumentalist, he has been playing high and low brass instruments in jazz, rock, blues, cabaret, theatre and free improv formations in Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy and as far as China since the 1980s. This resulted in constructive collaboration with honorable colleagues such as Alan Praskin, Lee Harper, Ewald Oberleitner, Dieter Glawischnig, Leo Lukas, Wolfram Dix, Irene S., Berndt Luef, Erhard ‘Ishi’ Koren etc.
As a commissioned music writer, he is and has been active for a wide range of ensembles from chamber music duos to symphony orchestras and runs several of his own ensembles, including the wind project ‘Smart Metal Hornets’. V:NM member since 2018.
Since 2013 he has been supporting Reinhard P.Gruber at readings and book presentations, mostly in the duo format.

STEFAN REDTENBACHER
is a professional bassist, music producer, entrepreneur, bandleader, music educator, composer and arranger. He was born in Salzburg (Austria) and has been a resident of Great Britain (London/ Surrey) for the past 30 years.
Since 1996 he has been running his own band, Redtenbacher’s Funkestra with over 20 records to their name, clocking up +13 million Spotify streams and working with greats from the Jazz Funk world such as Fred Wesley & ‘Pee Wee’ Ellis, the horn sections of Tower of Power, Prince New Power Generation, Brand New Heavies & Incognito and a host of established and upcoming talent from the London Jazz Funk scene. In recent years he and two friends set up the production house Masterlink Sessions to create breathtaking music videos recorded 100% live in the studio.
To facilitate this he morphed his Funkestra into the Masterlink Sessions studio band around 2019. Since then he has produced and recorded hundreds of songs and videos with a variety of artists from different genres. These include Mutya Buena (Sugababes), Mike Farris (Grammy winner for Best Roots Gospel Album 2014), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band), Robben Ford (Miles Davis, Yellow Jackets) and Blessing Annatoria (The Voice UK winner), Jo Harman (Van Morrison Alumni Band), Phil Lassiter (Prince and the New Power Generation, 11-time Grammy award-winning horn/string arranger) and a host of emerging talent from the British scene such as Rosie Frater-Taylor and Georgia van Etten et al.
Major projects stemming from Masterlink Sessions include the Joni Re-imagined show and collabs with Jo Harman, Connor Selby and Rumer. As a bassist and sideman Stefan Redtenbacher has worked with artists as diverse as Sam Moore (Sam & Dave), Jack Bruce (Cream), Steve Winwood, Lulu, Amy Winehouse, Kiki Dee, Beverly Knight, Joss Stone, Sam Brown, Herb Alpert, Imelda May, Natalie Imbruglia, Paul Carrack, Mica Paris, Gerry Beckley (America) et al.
Stefan is a graduate of the Vienna Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, the Institute of Education (UCL) and Chichester University.

He co-founded KnowledgeRocks, a music education technology startup, improving instrument practice and learning. They invented AudioSheetMusic™, a new US-patented digital format that synchronises PDF sheet music with audio recordings.
He produces albums for Pedigree Cuts (Universal Records worldwide), Mascot Label Group | Provogue Records, Cooking Vinyl, Kartel Music Group, De Wolfe, Wooden Hat Records, Mighty Village, Cianca Management and has written music for Emmy-winning shows on major US television networks. He is currently producing new records for Dave Limina (Piano chair of Berklee College of Music), Blues artist Connor Selby (Mascot) and Austin/Texas jazz fusion guitarist Carter Arrington.
The Funkestra three-album box set with ‘The Colors of Joni’, ‘Live Your Best Dream’ and ‘Funkopia’ will be released on RSB Records in spring 2025.
